doodlewear 'ANZAC Tribute' (February 2023) quality 100% cotton large NZ Tea Towels featuring an art print by NZ Wildlife Artist Auntie Betty Illustration.

These decorative tea towels feature an art print of a realistic Flander's Poppy, which is a symbol of World War I, along with the national plant symbols of New Zealand (the Silver Fern) and Australia (the Golden Wattle). The three plants together represent the ANZACS (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps). This symbolic artwork was created using Derwent Intense pencils with coloured pencil, and the artist has digitally signed the artwork.

"The current conflict in Ukraine has really brought home what the ANZACs went through and what we owe them for their service and sacrifices."

Art for a cause: $5 from every ' ANZAC Tribute' tea towel sold will go to the RSA.

Auntie Betty Illustration will kindly donate her artist profits from the sale of this design to the RSA. Let's help the RSA ensure our brave heroes and their families receive the assistance they deserve. Your donation has the potential to make a life-changing impact - from covering the cost of a cataract operation or medical care to providing mobility aids, emotional support, including trauma counselling, and treatment for post-traumatic stress. Additionally, your contribution could also help fund hearing aids, equine therapy, or even a companion dog. Every little bit counts towards helping those who have sacrificed so much for our safety and well-being.

"New Zealand and Australia share a special bond - always there for each other when it truly counts. The Australian and New Zealand Army Corps served and made the ultimate sacrifice in World Wars I and II, as well as other conflicts and peacekeeping missions. On April 25th, we will honour and remember how the ANZAC troops fought for our freedom and the freedom of others.

During World War I, the ground disturbance caused by warfare resulted in Flanders poppies blooming between the trench lines and no man's lands on the Western front. The poppy has since become a symbol of Remembrance Day and ANZAC Day. In combination with New Zealand's national plant, the Silver Fern, and Australia's national flower, the Golden Wattle, this design serves as our tribute to the ANZACs and expresses our gratitude for their sacrifices."
