Ruru + Rautini tee

doodlewear 'Ruru + Rautini' (March 2023) owl print t shirt which is a special collaboration between two of our talented doodlewear contributing artists, Lesh McNicholl of Lesh Creates and Penny Royal of Penny Royal Design. These high-quality t-shirts feature a contemporary yet retro-style art print of a ruru, also known as a Morepork owl, sitting in the Rautini flowers. Lesh used acrylic paint and an Indian ink pen to illustrate the Ruru, while Penny digitally drew and coloured the Rautini. The artists have digitally signed this unique artwork.

"We both love each other's art styles and wanted to work on a collaboration together. We had many artistic elements from our bodies of work, and together we decided which ones worked best when combined. Penny skilfully intertwined our art in a playful manner."
