doodlewear 'Kereru of Kapiti Island' (May 2024) decorative tea towel by Wellington-based artist Maria Elizabeth. These decorative tea towels features an intricate, detailed art print of a hand-drawn black fineline ink pen illustration of a native Kereru bird, also known as the New Zealand pigeon, amongst Pohutakawa flowers. The artist has digitally signed this artwork.
"This illustration is based on one of many photos taken during an overnight experience on Kapiti Island. My son and I came around the corner after the morning excursion and came upon this kereru sitting and posing for the perfect photo."
